Why is eSalon telling me to color my roots only?

Your eSalon order includes Personal Instructions that are unique to you. If you've previously colored your hair, sometimes it's not necessary to apply color all over, as this may unnecessarily darken your color and cause damage.

Instead, your Personal Instructions will specify a roots only application followed by a "Shine & Rinse" step. This will prevent darkening your previously colored hair, while still refreshing it with a boost of color and shine.
